About Our Start

Vilandre Heating was founded by Art Vilandre in 1935 and first operated in a small office in Grand Forks, ND. The company was founded on reliable hometown service and offered the first type of automated heating systems that were powered by coal. Over time the company has grown exponentially, adding a complete sheet metal shop, offering the first air conditioning systems, and in 1976 incorporating a seamless gutter division. After over six decades of operation, the company expanded its services in 1996 to include a full-service plumbing division, becoming the business that is today known as Vilandre Heating, Air Conditioning & Plumbing Inc.
