Our Story

At Bruss Landscaping, our journey began in 1952 when Carl and Anne Bruss founded the company as a nursery and retail garden center operation. Over the years, the business grew and evolved, with Bob and Bill Bruss taking over as the second generation of owners, expanding the company's services to include residential landscape design and installation. In 1987, the original location was relocated to make way for a highway construction project, and the company moved to its current office in Wheaton, Illinois, while establishing a 10-acre nursery and production yard in West Chicago, Illinois.

The third generation of the Bruss family, Eric Bruss, took the reins in 1993, continuing to build upon the foundation of quality and service established by his family. In 2022, the company was acquired by Fairwood Brands, a nationwide group of companies specializing in creating and maintaining luxury outdoor living spaces. Today, our team of experienced Landscape Architects and designers focuses exclusively on residential landscape design and services. Our craftsmen pride themselves on their creativity and attention to detail, setting us apart as the premier choice for residential landscaping services.
