Who We Are
Foothill Locksmiths Inc. has been providing security solutions throughout the Greater Bay Area since 1956. We service commercial, residential and automotive customers, and provide both mobile service and a storefront location in Hayward. Our services include (but are not limited to) electronic access control, master key and high-security lock systems, duplication of laser-cut and transponder keys, and more. In addition to its professional services, Foothill Locksmiths offers customers a large inventory of security products and a wide variety of in-stock safes.
Our History
Foothill Locksmiths Inc. was founded in Hayward way back in 1956. Shirley "Sy" Lucas moved to California from the midwest in search of a new lifestyle. He was intrigued by locksmithing and was eager to learn the trade, though he would soon learn it was difficult to find someone available as a mentor. Sy opened our first location on Foothill Boulevard & began offering locals an array of services, while in the process of teaching himself how to be a locksmith.

We offer a wide range of services to cater to the security needs of our clients. Our services include consulting, safes and vaults, commercial services, residential services, automotive services, antiques, motorcycles, and gun safes. Our team of experts is dedicated to providing top-notch security solutions to our clients. We also have a storefront location in Hayward where clients can visit to explore our wide range of security products.

Our safe and vault services include installation, maintenance, and repair of safes and vaults. Our commercial services include increased and updated security solutions for businesses, while our residential services include security evaluations, rekeying services, and more. Our automotive services include laser-cut and transponder keys, remotes, door/ignition rekeying, and more.
Our Team
Our team is led by President Blaine Lucas, a third-generation security specialist who holds multiple certifications from the Associated Locksmiths of America (ALOA), the Safe and Vault Technicians Association (SAVTA), and the National Safeman's Organization (NSO). Our team also includes experienced security specialists who are registered locksmiths with the ALOA and are licensed by the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services, as required by the state of California.
