Our journey began in Greece, where our founder, a grandfather of today's owner, discovered the ancient marble quarries in Penteli mountain. Sensing an opportunity, he bought 100,000 square meters of government-leased quarry area in 1926 and started the business in 1927. The company grew rapidly, becoming one of the top Greek and European producers of white marble until the late 1960s.

After the founder's passing, his children took over the business, expanding operations to other cities in Greece and operating more quarries and factories. In the 1980s, the invention of the Thin Stone Cutting Technology revolutionized the industry, making marble more accessible and affordable to a wider audience. Interstone continued to thrive, establishing relationships with international contacts and exporting natural stone products globally.
