Washington Cedar & Supply is a family-owned business that has been serving the roofing needs of homeowners and contractors alike for over 55 years. Founded in 1967 by Leo C. Brutsche, our company has grown to become the largest independently owned roofing distributor in the state of Washington.

Our History

Our story began in California, where our founder, Leo, opened California Shingle & Shake in 1956. After serving in the United States Marine Corps, Leo moved to Washington state and opened our first location in Kent in 1967. In 2000, we relocated to Auburn, where we currently reside. Over the years, we have expanded to branches in Bremerton, Everett, Tumwater, Tacoma, and Longview. Our latest expansion took us to Mount Vernon in December 2022.
