At Chassell Carpentry, we are a family-owned and operated business that has been serving Houghton, Keweenaw, and Baraga counties in Upper Michigan since 1980. We also provide our services to eastern Ontonagon county. Our team is dedicated to delivering top-quality construction and remodeling services that exceed our clients' expectations. We are a full-service construction company specializing in residential building and remodeling, and we have been providing these services for over four decades.

General Contractor Services

As a general contractor, we take care of all sub-contractor details such as plumbing, heating, electrical, masonry work, and permits. This ensures that each phase of the project meets or exceeds state and local building codes. We are fully licensed and insured, giving you peace of mind when you choose us for your construction or remodeling project.

Repair and Upgrade Work

While many people in the area think that we only build new homes, we also offer repair and upgrade work. This includes roofing, siding, doors, windows, decks, porches, interior and exterior painting, insulation, garages, gazebos, saunas, custom cabinetry, custom trim, wood ceilings, additions, and remodeling. Subcontractors and Affiliations

Although we do all of the construction work, we do hire subcontractors for the electrical, plumbing, heating, cooling, and masonry portions of the project. We have been working with the same companies for years and are confident that their work will be completed when needed and you will be pleased with the results. All of the subcontractors that we use are licensed and insured. We are also members of the Keweenaw Chamber of Commerce and have family members involved in the Military Order Purple Heart, Copper Country Chapter 789 Men's Auxiliary, MOPH Ladies Auxiliary, and VFW Men's Auxiliary.
