Shelley M. Hughes, President/Architect

A registered architect in New Mexico, Shelley M. Hughes brings over 10 years of hands-on experience to SMHA. Her journey in architecture began in 2004 as an Intern Architect at JLS Architects in Albuquerque, where she gained a comprehensive understanding of the field. Driven by a desire to serve her hometown community, she returned to Cloudcroft in 2007, establishing SMHA alongside her husband. Shelley's dedication to quality, creativity, and client satisfaction has been instrumental in shaping SMHA's success.

Gabriel Itzai Gaytan, Intern Architect

Joining SMHA in 2018, Gabriel Itzai Gaytan complements the team with his technical skills and creative vision. He holds a Master of Architecture from the University of New Mexico and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Texas Tech University. Gabriel's expertise in CAD software and 3-D modeling enables him to contribute significantly to the creation of both detailed construction drawings and stunning visual representations of architectural concepts.
