With over 50 years of construction industry experience, Mid-State Construction is renowned for its leadership and excellence. Founded in the 1960s by Johnny Coleman, the company started as a concrete pipe manufacturer and aggregate supplier before evolving into a general contractor. Today, Mid-State Construction is a third-generation, family-owned business located in the Upper Cumberland region of Middle Tennessee. Our commitment to good communication at every stage of the process has been a hallmark of our success over the past five decades.

We have established lasting relationships with clients across the region, including Livingston, Cookeville, Baxter, Monterey, Sparta, Crossville, Jamestown, Wartburg, Smithville, McMinnville, Harriman, Fairfield Glade, Lafayette, Celina, Cleveland, Sweetwater, Lenoir City, and everywhere in between. Bridge Division

Since 1964, Mid-State Construction's Bridge Division has focused on delivering a quality product to our customers. Our main emphasis is on completing projects safely, on time, and within budget. We have successfully completed projects from Nashville to Knoxville to Chattanooga and the Tri-cities, familiarizing ourselves with the mid-state area. Our main areas of focus include Bridge Deck Repair, Accelerated Construction Methods (ABC), Bridge Deck Overlay, Modular Expansion Joint Replacement, Bridge Widening, Concrete Repair, Substructure Modification, and New Structures. Our customers include the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) and various local municipalities.
