Welcome to AT Architecture, an architectural firm based in Billings, Montana. Our team is passionate about providing excellent, honest, and innovative architectural services at reasonable fees. With experience in a wide range of building and construction types, we are equipped to take on a diverse array of projects. Our portfolio includes churches, educational institutions, offices, retail spaces, residential buildings, warehouses, industrial sites, government facilities, and medical centers. Our architects are licensed in Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Minnesota, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming. They are also NCARB certified, allowing for easy licensure in other states.

Our Team

AT Architecture is composed of talented individuals dedicated to turning your dream project into a reality. As a service-oriented firm, we strive to make the design and construction process an enjoyable experience. We value our relationships with contractors and clients and work diligently to elevate these connections from good to great.

Our team has experience in various building types, including churches, offices, industrial sites, retail spaces, warehouses, residential buildings (multi-family and single-family), medical facilities, aquatic centers, recreational facilities, and restaurants. We are well-versed in various construction types, including wood, steel, ICFs, SIPs, metal buildings, masonry, and tilt-up concrete. We also have experience working with sustainable materials and energy-efficient designs.

Our Leadership

*Alex Tommerup, President*: Alex is our firm's president with over 30 years of experience. He is dedicated to upholding our values of excellence, integrity, and innovation. Alex's experience spans most building and construction types. He graduated from the Montana State School of Architecture in 1976 and has worked on projects in Minnesota, California, and Montana. In 1997, Alex returned to Montana and established AT Architecture in December 2002. He is licensed in multiple states and holds memberships with NCARB, ICC, BAA, and the AIA. Alex has a God-given passion for working with churches and para-church organizations. He has collaborated with over 150 churches.

*Mark Olson, Project Architect/Project Manager*: Mark has over 28 years of experience in the architectural and construction fields. His expertise has been honed by working on numerous projects throughout the northwest as a project architect and project manager. Some of the notable projects Mark has been involved in include:

• Shoshone-Bannock Junior/Senior High School in Fort Hall Idaho
• Pine Ridge High School in Pine Ridge South Dakota
• Sinte Gleska University Multipurpose Facility in Mission South Dakota

Mark holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Montana State University (1980) and an Associate of Arts from FVCC in Kalispell (1976). He is a registered architect in Washington, Montana, Idaho, South Dakota, Utah, and Wyoming. He also holds an NCARB Certificate, is a member of the American Institute of Architects, and is a member of the Montana Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.

*John Atkinson, Architectural Designer*: John recently earned his Master's degree in Architecture from Montana State University. Proficient in architectural design using AutoCAD, Revit Architecture, 3D Rhinoceros, Sketchup, and various rendering programs such as 3ds Max and VIZ Render, John is also an accomplished Photoshop user and artist. He is thrilled to embark on his professional journey and eager to serve you.
