Our History

Our story began in 1927 when Edward Schneider founded Town & Country Oil Corp. After serving in the Naval Air Corps during World War II, Edward decided to pursue a career in the heating oil industry. He started Schneider Fuel Oil Inc., where he delivered oil, serviced and installed heating equipment, and provided emergency oil burner service. In 1962, he acquired Town & Country Oil Corp. and became its President and CEO.

The next generation of the Schneider family joined the team in 1969. John Schneider, after graduating from Spring Hill College with a major in mathematics and accounting, began working at Town & Country Oil Corp. He learned all aspects of the oil business, from delivering fuel oil to being active in sales and eventually becoming the operations manager. In 1978, John took over as President of Town & Country Oil Corp., a position he held until 2020 when he became the CEO. During his tenure, he acquired Regent Fuel Oil in 1997 and brought the company into the "Automated Wireless World" for both oil and service. Today, John is responsible for securing the best possible price on heating oil from various vendors and overseeing the maintenance of the entire fleet.

In recent years, we welcomed Brian Schneider, the next generation of the Schneider family, to our team. With his fresh perspective and new ideas, Brian continues to contribute to our company's growth and success.
